1994 to date: member of the Editorial Board of The Maltese Family Doctor / It-Tabib tal-Familja - the Journal of the Malta College of Family Doctors.

1997 to date: Direct member of WONCA Region Europe - the European Society of General Practice/Family Medicine, and of WONCA - the World Organisation of Family Doctors.

2001: Appointed part-time Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Family Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Malta Medical School. In 2009 promoted to Visiting Senior Lecturer.

2001: Graduated Diploma in Health Science (Health Services Management) at the Institute of Health Care, University of Malta.

2003: Graduated Master in Health Science (Health Services Management) at the Institute of Health Care, University of Malta.

2004: Appointed Member of Council of EURACT - European Academy of Teachers in General Practice, and in 2010 appointed to the EURACT Executive Board.

2006: Awarded full Membership of the Malta College of Family Doctors (MMCFD).

2007: Graduated MSc Primary Care/General Practice at the University of Ulster, U.K.

1998-2004: Member of the Committee for Smoking and Health within the Ministry of Health.

1998 to date: MCFD delegate to EUROPREV, the European Network for Prevention and Health Promotion in General Practice. In 1999, appointed member of the EUROPREV Coordinating Group, and in 2011 appointed Public Relations Officer of EUROPREV.
